Science Week 2023

The Directorate of Post Graduate Studies at UAS, Bangalore was started in 1966 with the aim of imparting postgraduate education in agriculture. The students are imparted with knowledge and skills in Agriculture and allied subjects. The post graduates are expected to contribute to the agricultural growth and provide skill-based support to the agricultural and rural communities.

University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore offers postgraduate degree programs in 23 different subjects. The duration of the programme is for two years.

Similarly, the University offers PhD programme in16 different subjects. Doctoral graduates have a six-year completion time limit, with a three-year residency requirement.

To support PG students with career-oriented exposure in education, research and extension, UAS, Bangalore has collaborated with several reputed national and international organizations.

Science week

Directorate of Post Graduate Studies, started the Post Graduate Science Week as an annual event in 2014 for the post graduate students to showcase their research work. Since then, PG Science Week has been a most awaited event for PG students to present their research achievements in front of their peers, teachers and academicians.

During PG Science Week, the Master’s students present their research study in the form of posters and the Doctoral students give oral presentation. The poster presentations and oral presentations are evaluated by the external experts and recognized with a certificate.
